About the Recipe

A perfect detox recipe for weight watchers or as a snacking after a heavy meal, something which is lighter on the stomach. Even diabetics can have this combination salsa. Best to club with a bowl of vegetable soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 mango, peeled, seeded and chopped

  • 2 small cut peaches/pear/apple

  • 1 cup diced fresh pineapple

  • 2 chopped tomatoes

  • 2 chopped white onion (available in the summer)

  • 1 chopped red bell pepper (add half cooked if raw causes acidity)

  • 1 chopped yellow bell pepper (add half cooked if raw causes acidity)

  • Chopped fresh cilantro or coriander to taste

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed (optional)

  • 2 pinches white pepper

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon black salt

Preparation

Place the mango, peach, pineapple, tomato, onion, red pepper, yellow pepper, and cilantro or coriander in a mixing bowl. Stir in the garlic, lime juice, white pepper and black salt. Cover and refrigerate at least for 1 hour before serving.
